Tracey Emin - My Bed (1998)
The artist’s bed, presented in the state she claimed it had been while in the midst of a suicidial depression brought on by relationship difficulties. Empty booze bottles, cigarette butts, stained sheets, worn panties, “the bloody aftermath of a nervous breakdown”, My Bed was a scandalous installation in its day and though it wasn’t the winner of the Turner Prize, its notoriety has persisted.

The Keith Haring and David Bowie Connection
Keith Haring did the cover art for one of Bowie’s singles “Without You,” back in 1983. “Without You” was included on the Let’s Dance album of the same year.
Haring directed a massive mural in Chicago’s Grant Park in Spring 1989 in collaboration with the MCA and more than 450 students from Chicago public schools. More on MCA DNA.
